About: I am the co-founder at Waggle Labs, where we apply our creativity, social science, and technical know-how to the design and development of web 2.0 social technologies.

Our main project is an event based social networking and communication tool -- Pathable -- that helps event attendees answer the question "who is at this event, whom should I meet, and how do I meet them?" Our mission is to leverage web 2.0 technologies to facilitate face-to-face interactions.

Prior to starting Waggle Labs I was a Researcher at Microsoft Research in the Social Computing Group. I received my Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Washington in 1999.

In my "spare" time I am actively involved in arts/tech/burning man communities here in Seattle, and in the past year have served as Seattle's Dorkbot Overlord. http://www.dorkbot.org/dorkbotsea

I am also an artist, you can check out my work at: http://www.hive-mind.com/shelly/farnhamportfolio.htm
